Together, We Have a Bright Future
These last 9+ months together on the campaign trail have been unique. As our country has encountered over 200,000 deaths, social strife, and an enormous economic meltdown for millions, we have been trying to advocate for a better, brighter future. Just as your life may have been turned upside down in more ways than you can count, the typical campaign trail has had to be creative. One thing rings true now more than ever: we need to elect leader who share common values, adhere to public health guidelines, and move us forward with the kindness and dignity America is known for around the world.
We believe in a future where people's voices are heard -- regardless of their race, gender, sexual preference, country of origin, or any other discriminating factor.
We believe in a future where healthcare is a right -- no matter if you have pre-existing conditions, require any of the Essential Health Benefits (EHB), or don't have the funds to pay for it.
We believe in completely inclusive education -- one that is accessible to all different kinds of learning styles, one that is hands on, and one that is engaging to youth, seniors, and everyone in between.
We believe in providing genuine service to Veterans --- not just showing up at the roast beef annual dinner, but one that helps to provide dignity and respect like the art painting event we hosted to those who have given up their life for the protection of our country.
We believe in an environment that is a priority -- where the water quality is tested on a regular basis and complete transparency into the water quality levels, greater support for efforts like Save the Sound Foundation and our ELDTC community cleanups, where resources are dedicated to help create new jobs through more effective energy sources, increased adherence to policies through increase bottle tax on nips, and one where all citizens become stewards of a healthier environment.
Over the last few months, we have learned a tremendous deal. Your voices, your ideas, and your perspective is invaluable. We started this with the simple desire to "make a difference" and your energy has only encouraged this even more! Now more than ever, we need people elected to office who listen to the community, come up with creative solutions, treat each other with kindness and compassion, and truly love the community, State, and country where they are. None of this would have even be possible without the countless hours of support, encouragement, and love demonstrated by the team of volunteers, now friends and family, that have made all of this possible. This genuine kindness and involvement from too many to name, has given us sheer hope that the power of love will overcome the love of power. Amen.
We humbly thank you.
Now, we ask your vote for Cate Steel 2020, other democrats on the local and national line, and challenge any Republican to publicly state if they are for or against the President. There is room for hope, so long as we move together in a better, Bright Future. There will be two sides of history: one of those is people who stand up to lackluster leadership, and that is us!
As always, we are a phone call or email away. Please email CateSteel2020@gmail.com or Chat with Cate on Facebook: Cate Steel for State Rep 24/7. or call anytime 860-235-0021.
Your Voice Will be Heard.
